With Washington, DC winter temperatures wavering between 50℉ and 70℉, it's hard to think about relaxing by the fire with a warm drink. The Girls of Real Estate want you to be ready when the temperatures plunge to find the best cozy places to get a drink by the fire. We found a list published in The Washingtonian of local restaurants and are sharing our favorites, which of course are in Virginia!

The hearth in L’Auberge’s dining room is only accessible to those with reservations to dine, but anyone can enjoy this venerable epicurean institution's more casual Jacques’ Brasserie. Hot drinks abound every evening by their outdoor fire pit (weather permitting). The menu offers French dishes and drinks like mulled wine and spiked cider.
