On Saturday, December 16, 2017, Candace Moe and Chelle Gassan, Northern Virginia REALTORS®, joined thousands of volunteers across the country in laying more than 1.5+ Million remembrance wreaths on the grave markers of American veterans. The Girls of Real Estate Joined Wreaths Across America to Remember America’s Veteran’s at Arlington National Cemetery. Their community service was a family affair as they were joined by Ashley and Tyler Gassan, Chelle’s children.
“To be killed in a war is not the worst that can happen. To be lost is not the worst. To be forgotten is the worst.” ~ Pierre Claeyssens, Belgian-born American philanthropist and supporter of US Veterans and Active Duty personnel
As most of you know, Chelle’s husband Pete, A Coast Guard Academy graduate, is a retired Coast Guard Officer. While they are no longer an ‘active duty’ family, Wreaths Across America’s mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is near and dear to their hearts. They remain committed to the military and loved spending time together showing respect to American’s deceased veterans.
About Wreaths Across America:
